Work those sparkles, Richard!! source |
Anyways, I really shouldn't be making fun of him b/c I love him. He called me out in ab class. Literally screamed "This is perfect form, people!" and pointed right at me. It might have just been a pity compliment because my face showed that I was nearing death at the end of abs class, but I don't care. I'll take my moment in the spotlight :)
1. Who is your favorite athlete or DVD workout superstar and why? When I was younger I idolized a lot of female basketball players. I think I had Lisa Leslie and Rebecca Lobo jerseys (very much a tom-boy for a good long portion of my life...I think I wore basketball shorts to high school every day for like 3 months straight during junior year). I also really looked up to Diana Taurasi and Chamique Holdsclaw. They are all such skilled and disciplined women! I'm thankful that my dad took me to Mystics games and kept me interested in such positive role models...p.s. it was his Birthday on Sunday. Blog shout out to my pops! Woop woop! :)

Ha ha! LOVE the story about your gym instructor. He sounds hilarious! Well done on your perfect form. take that glory and enjoy! A x
I would definitely accept my moment in the spotlight, nice job! I would probably attend more classes if I had a fun Richard SImmons-esque instructor!
Your form is probably perfect from all those in home ab sessions you had!
good luck with your 13....I'll be running 15. Yikes!
Yayy for Run Less, Run Faster. I had a lot of success with it! I think you will love it! Don't worry about the 13 miler...you will rock it!
yeah...you'll need an even smaller font...
Steve Prefontaine is my favorite! My idol. My running role model .... although for me trying to be like Pre isn't always the healthiest thing to do.
Okay, I just have to say it, I freaking LOVE Richard Simmons. I grew up laughing at my mom and her co-workers do Sweatin' to the Oldies after work. Looking back, those looked like so much fun!
My mom had a Sweatin' to the Oldies videotape that I used to workout to as a kid, no joke! I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Richard Simmons.
Oh, btw... did you ever see that "Whose Line is it Anyway?" sketch featuring Richard Simmons? Look it up... it's hilarious!
