What should I do in Oregon??

Calling all Oregon bloggers! (or anyone who has been to Oregon)

Other than the Haulin Aspen 1/2 Marathon what should I do/see in Oregon while I'm there for 6 days? I leave exactly one week from tomorrow :)

My cousin is going to pick me up from the airport in Portland and then we are free to explore the state! I can't wait b/c I've never been to the West coast at all. Everyone keeps telling me it is gorgeous. I believe them:

Well I've never been so this comment will be exceptionally unhelpful, but I hope you have a great time and I can't wait to read about it!

I don't know about Orgeon, but Haulin Aspen is pretty funny.

Hike some waterfalls in the Gorge.

Hit the top of Larch Mountain (you can drive or hike) for some amazing views of our big surrounding mountains.

Windsurfing in Hood River.

White water rafting on The Deschutes @ Maupin.

Bend is AWESOME in the summer. So much to do - kayaking, SUP, music, restaurants, hiking.

I've always wanted to see Crater Lake National Park. Not sure if it's too much of a haul from where you are. ALSO- you should go see Nike. I'm not sure if they offer tours of their training facility, but I bet that would pretty cool as well! Have a blast!

I love the Oregon coast. Be sure to see some of the lighthouses. I really liked Beverly Beach but you really can't go wrong. It is a beautiful place to visit for sure!

Where do I start...

I'm originally from Oregon, born & raised, but I grew up on the east side. The west is gorgeous, but I gotta say, if you make it far east (as in almost to Idaho) hit up those mountains (Eagle Caps) and go for a hike. AWESOME HIKES.

But the west side, the coast for sure. But bring a rain coat!! Salt water taffy, eat at Mo's & get their famous clam chowder, go to the Tillamook cheese factory...

I could go on and on...HAVE FUN THERE!

I am so jealous!! I was promising everyone I would not race in August. Then I realized that I could do the Haulin' Aspen 7 mile race and it would fit perfectly with my training schedule. I went to register and everything is full. :(

I echo Kim ... hit the coast!

Oregon Coast for sure! Check out one of the Oregon breweries, too, like Deschutes or Rogue. Delicious beer!
