Wordless Wednesday

Who am I kidding? I always have words. Prob should start doing Wordy Wednesdays.

Anyways, it has been ridiculously hot/humid in DC. I know, I know, everyone in the south is probably cursing me right now and thinking I'm a baby because they deal with heat all year long. I don't care. It's supposed to feel like 110 degrees on Friday. I'll cry if I want to.

This little entrepreneur is capitalizing off the heat wave:

That is the most legit lemonade stand I've ever seen. I'd bet any amount of money that that little girl has a part time job assembling all her neighbors crap from Ikea. (I love Ikea, but seriously, sometimes you need a masters degree in engineering/chinese to put their stuff together.) Oh, and the lemonade was darn good - that was no Crystal Light. Totally worth the $1.

I am protesting running in this heat so I'm either going to the gym to run on the god forsaken treadmill or going swimming. Yesterday I went swimming. I found out I suck at swimming. I did 3 laps, got winded and thought sitting out in the sun and taking pictures of myself would be a better choice. ha. Don't worry, I got back in and did a few more laps...maybe.
Straw hair, bug eyes, and zits. That's a good look for you, Sam. NOT.
Happy Running Swimming,

TOTALLY AGREE about ikea stuff. i sometimes cannot even follow the directions...haha. and i agree about the heat as well...i constantly complain to my southern-living family how hot it is out here. then they tell me to shut up because at least it is dry heat. doesn't change the fact that it is hot and i hate it...now does it fam?? bring on the pool! (tanning is cardio...right?)

I'm jealous of your outdoor pool! I have access to an indoor pool at the Y, but it just seems super gross and sticky in the summer. I would rather get up super early and run outside before it gets too hot (well, most of the time :)

If it wasn't a chilly 58º, sprinkling and windy outside I'd totally want to go swimming and have lemonade after reading this post!

Swimming sucks, but it does get easier. Stick with it!

Uugh, the heat wave is killing me. Heat index was nearing 115 this afternoon...I opted out of my workout and instead sat indoors eating popsicles.

That is possibly the cutest lemonade stand I have ever seen!

$1 with the overhead that she's stuck with for that bad-ass setup? She's running a non-profit organization. You should suggest hiking the prize and offering lounge chairs so people can sit and chill. just sayin'...

Ugh, I would be crying about the heat, too (I am in CA right now, but will be home suffering with you this weekend). I am such a wuss about the heat. No matter how much water I drink or how much I run in it, my body refuses to adjust, and I spend most of July/August feeling nauseous. Not cool!

And wow, that is the nicest lemonade stand I've ever seen! Ridiculous!

It's been hot here in MN, but probably not nearly as hot as what you're experiencing. Stay cool!

Ooh... a lemonade stand is such a fabulous idea!
