If you need a laugh

Convo during dinner with my 88 year great-grandmother:

Betty: I bet your boyfriends are missing you.
Me: Boyfriends?! I don't even have one.
Betty: Oh, I'm sure you do.
Me: No, don't you remember my ex-boyfriend? He used to have dinner with us all the time.
Betty: No, I don't. So what happened to him?
Me: He dumped me.
Betty: Oh, you probably just weren't wild enough for him.
Me: Ummm, okay, I'll try to work on that.

HAHAHA. Why don't I video tape my conversations with her?!

Maybe I'm single because my idea of getting dressed up on a Friday night is wearing my new $11 hoodie from Target that I was way too excited about:

Speaking of laughter, I almost peed my pants last night laughing so hard during the new movie Bridesmaids.

I won't ruin it for those of you who haven't seen it, but you should probably get to your nearest theater a.s.a.p. It is the best movie I have seen in a long, long time. A little bit 27 Dresses, and a little bit female version of The Hangover. The entire thing was hilarious, and it wasn't just because I pre-gamed the movie. (See grandma, I'm totally wild!)

1. I rarely go to the movies anymore. Any other suggestions for recent flicks I should see?
2. How many living generations are there in your family? There are 5 in mine right now. I'm really interested to see if anyone can beat that.

Hope you're having a great weekend! p.s - Sorry this post had absolutely nothing to do with running. I've been lazy all day and haven't done any physical activity other than laughter.

The only movie I have seen recently is Kung Fu Panda 2 in #D, pretty cute. I only have four generation in my family, I was in 5th grade the last time we had 5.

I think I'm going to have to see Bridesmaids. I have no suggestions for movies to see because we haven't been to the movies in ages! Marriage is kinda boring sometimes.

Four generations, as of March 4 when I had Ellie!

I watched the hang over part II yesterday with the bf and we were laughing the entire time--if you liked the first one, there's no reason you shouldn't like the second:)

PS: your grammie sounds like mine--love them!

Wait! There's more to "dressing up" than the rule 'something other than workout gear'? That's just too complicated!

And only three generations over here! My cousin might be the first to pop out a fourth, but nothing in the works yet.

Your gram is too cute! Mine says some slightly off color comments as well, but most aren't appropriate to share with the public. The hubster and I are checking out Hangover 2 tomorrow, hopefully that is just as funny.

Your grandma is awesome!

I really want to see "Bridesmaids." I've got a friend that wants to see it again, so we'll have to meet up this weekend to do it.

Last movie I saw was "The King's Speech." Great movie... I highly recommend it.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...WHAT A LADY! There is SO much we can learn from 'seasoned' 88 year-olds. More specifiably...there is SO much YOU can learn from 'seasoned' 88 year-olds. thanks for the laugh.

HA! Your grandma sounds like a hoot. I miss both of mine terribly. They were polar opposites (one spunky, outspoken, and would cuss a sailor under the table, and the other the sweetest angel God ever put on this earth), and I loved them both dearly.

On my mom's side, we've just got the two generations. Mom and her two daughters--me and my sister. Neither of us have children yet. We go one generation higher on my dad's side because his dad is still living.

Oh yeah one more thing! Me and the hubs are both off work this week, so we'll have time to go to the movies. We are for SURE gonna see Hangover Part 2, and I want to see Bridesmaids one night too! I've heard from so many people that it's hilarious.

Oh my goodness, your grandma is hilarious!! Ugh, I still REALLY want to see that movie! Everyone has been telling me how good it is. I tried to go see it the other weekend but when I got there (pretty early, too), there were only six seats left in the theater (ie, you probably won't be able to sit with the person you are going with and if you do it will be right in front of the screen). I will have to try again very soon!
